Raising funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer

Staff and management at Linda Taylors are always looking for ways to raise funds for local charities and for national charities which raise funds for Breast Cancer research and education.

June Harris from our Swinton office recently completed the "Cross Peak Challenge", a gruelling 26 mile trek, in order to raise funds for Breakthrough Breast Cancer. The Cross Peak Challenge takes place in The Peak District over 2 days and the entrants must complete 3 of the highest Peaks in the area. The Peak District is England’s oldest and arguably one of the most beautiful of our National Parks and the hike follows lush meadows and gentle limestone valleys into high heather moorlands.

June's brave trek was enough to persuade Linda to adopt the Cross Peak Challenge as one of the business’s chosen charities for this year.

June says, "Trekking was a fantastic way of getting fit, taking part in an exhilarating challenge, experiencing some of the UK’s breathtaking scenery whilst also raising money for Breakthrough Breast Cancer at the same time."
