Minute Takers for ad hoc assignments
temporary in Bolton, Rochdale, Bury and Salford, salary/rate: £7.50 - £10 p/h, hours: Varied, full & part time available, starting: as soon as possible
job description
We desperately need a small bank of secretaries who can take Minutes of meetings. Some of the assignments may just be a couple of days to attend an important Council meeting, for example, and then transcribe the Minutes. Generally, though, they will be a couple of weeks in duration to cover for holidays, sickness, short term projects etc.
At the moment we only have Linda who can still take Minutes of Meetings and, try as we may, she is a little bit reluctant to go back to temping. But, she reckons, there are still people out there who can do it.
So, come on, don't lose those shorthand skills, keep in practice, even if it is just a couple of days a month. The work is varied, interesting and well paid, so give us a call today.
skills required
You will have good shorthand or speed writing skills and be confident taking minutes of meetings, court proceedings, tribunals etc.
You will, naturally, be a fast and accurate typist with a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, predominantly Word.
