Our client within the Local Authority seeks an experienced financial advisor to join their team on a long term basis to work on a specific project.
You will have proven experience and expertise in debt advice work and a good understanding of key legislation/procedures regarding credit, debt and social security.
With experience of advising on income maximisation, welfare benefits and tax credits you will have the ability to represent clients in the civil courts and act as advocat on their behalf. You will have the skills to advise on income maximisation, welfare benefits and tax credits and be able to tackle individual casework in a thorough and efficient manner which is in sympathy with the client.
Prior knowledge of housing issues would be a distinct advantage.
skills required
You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to work alone, without supervision, out of the office and during home visits.
Sound IT and administrative skills are essential, along with the ability to design and write material on debt issues in plain English.
